Dagný has over twelve years of specialist IP experience. After working at a small IP firm in Reykjavik, she worked for 9 years at the Icelandic Intellectual Property Office, both as a lawyer and as the Head of the IP Department. For two years she served as an Opposition Decision Taker at the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) in Spain, where she assessed and decided opposition proceedings. She is qualified to represent clients before the EUIPO and the ISIPO. She holds an ML degree in Law from Reykjavik University and an LLM degree in Technology Law from the University of Edinburgh and is admitted to practise before the Icelandic District Courts.
This combination of experience — inside ISIPO, within the EUIPO's Opposition Division, and in private practice — means she understands Icelandic and EU trademark matters from every angle.
